Chance to become the World Champions

After winning the Champions League last season, Die Roten will finally have the chance to become the World Champions by winning the Club World Cup. Bayern will be travelling to Qatar to play in this competition during the second week of February.

The first game for the European Champions will be the semi-finals of the competition. The winner of the clash between Al Ahyl and Al Duhail. Die Roten had managed to win this competition in 2014 when they had won treble a season before. The German club will be hoping to follow the same pattern next week.

More from Bayern Strikes

It will be a crucial trophy for Hansi Flick too. If he manages to make Bayern World Champions, Flick would have won every possible trophy as the club manager in less than two years. From taking a deflated squad in November 2019 to winning all trophies by February 2021 will be an amazing achievement for the German manager.

From players’ perspective, winning the trophy in Qatar will give them a mental boost ahead of going into the back end of the season when every game will be a must-win. Winning Club World Cup will also help in healing the pain that was caused by the penalty shootout defeat in DFB Pokal last month.
