Bayern Munich’s winning streak continued on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena. The hosts scored two goals in both the first and second halves to register their 14th win of the 2020/21 Bundesliga campaign.

After losing to Hoffenheim by the same scoreline on Matchday Two, Die Roten was able to avoid a shocking second defeat to Hoffenheim who entered this fixture on a winning streak of their own. Here are the top three performers from Bayern’s massive home victory.

Manuel Neuer

Although it wasn’t a third consecutive clean sheet for Neuer, the Bayern goalkeeper had a fantastic performance against Hoffenheim. The veteran was called into action early in the match when he made a great save on a high-quality scoring opportunity for Ihlas Bebou in the eighth minute.

In the final 10 minutes of the match, Neuer made two great saves to ensure Hoffenheim wasn’t given any late hope. His diving save in the 88th minute on Havard Nordtvelt’s long-range effort was a top-class save as the shot appeared to be headed for the bottom corner of the net. Without Neuer’s spectacular performance, this scoreline could have been much closer.

More from Bayern Strikes

Robert Lewandowski

Bayern’s star striker continues to score goals on an incredibly consistent basis. Lewandowski scored his ninth consecutive goal in a Bundesliga fixture and increased his season total in the German top flight to 24 goals. In addition to his 57th-minute goal, Lewandowski recorded an assist on Thomas Muller’s goal in the 43rd minute.

The Polish striker has had five performances so far this season in the Bundesliga where he has recorded at least one goal and assist in the same match. With a total of six assists this season in Bundesliga, Lewandowski is just two assists away from recording his highest assist total in a single season for Bayern in the German top flight.

Joshua Kimmich

It was another strong performance from Kimmich in the midfield. After a three-assist performance against Schalke on Matchday 18, Kimmich picked up another assist as he delivered the cross from the corner kick that found Jerome Boateng for the opening goal of the match. Kimmich’s assist increased his Bundesliga season total to 10.

With his 10th assist, the midfielder reaches double-digit assists in a Bundesliga season for the third time in his career. When it came to passing overall, Kimmich completed 90% of his pass attempts with all six of his long ball passes finding their intended target. Defensively, he recorded three interceptions, one tackle, and one clearance. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
