Bayern Munich show ruthless streak in win against Hoffenheim
Bayern Munich temporarily opened up a gap of ten points at the top of the Bundesliga table with a ruthless display to clinch a 4-1 win against Hoffenheim on Saturday. The scoreline may suggest that it was a one-sided game, but Bayern had to work hard to get this victory.
It was a frantic start to the game for Die Roten. They did look threatening in the final third, but Hoffenheim also had a fair share of joy while going ahead. Kingsley Coman looked dangerous on the left flank. He managed to rattle the post with a well-guided header in the 12th minute.
The momentum in the game kept swinging between both sides before Jerome Boateng opened the scoring for the home side in the 32nd minute. Joshua Kimmich delivered a pinpoint cross from the corner and Boateng made tremendous contact to head it past the goalkeeper.
The floodgates were truly open for Die Roten as they looked to make the most of the momentum they had. First goal brought more urgency to Bayern’s play. They managed to double the lead as Thomas Muller converted from a nice bit of creative play from Robert Lewandowski.

Just when it felt like Bayern were well on top, the German Champions ended the half on a sour note. Andrej Kramaric brought visitors back in the game by getting one goal back before the half time. There is still an air of uncertainty at the back, but they are getting better with every game.
Die Roten came out all guns blazing in the second half. They asserted authority on the game by dominating the possession. Flick’s men were eventually rewarded for this approach when Robert Lewandowski restored a two-goal lead in the 57th minute.
Just when Hoffenheim were trying to recover from the third goal, Bayern consolidated their position in the game by getting the fourth goal. Gnabry and Coman combined together for this goal. The French winger showed enough composure to find Gnabry after playing a lovely interchange of passes with Alphonso Davies.
The scoreline did flatter Bayern as Hoffenheim did have their share of chances. Some of them they couldn’t finish, while others were brilliantly saved by Manuel Neuer. Over the course of 90 minutes, the game tilted between two sides like a see-saw, but Bayern managed to show more composure when they got their chances.
