After a demolition job of Schalke in the Bundesliga last weekend, Bayern Munich will turn their attention to Hoffenheim on Saturday. The German Champions can temporarily go ten points clear on Saturday as RB Leipzig play Bayer Leverkusen later this weekend.

Hoffenheim had halted Die Roten’s ten months long unbeaten run in October by clinching a comfortable 4-1 win in the Bundesliga. Die Roten will be looking to avenge that defeat and build some momentum by getting consistent performances with victories. Here is the possible team that could be sent out by Hansi Flick on Saturday to get all three points.

Who is available for Bayern Munich?

Bayern received a massive blow this week as Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez will be out for few weeks due to coronavirus. The duo is likely to miss the club world cup that will start in the second week of February.

Corentin Tolisso has returned to training, and he should be available for selection tomorrow. Alexander Nubel is also set to be on the sidelines for few weeks after suffering a ligament injury. Nianzou Kouassi is progressing well with his rehabilitation, but he remains a few weeks away from training with the first team.

Predicted Starting XI for Bayern Munich

Manuel Neuer is finally getting rewards for his good performances in the last two months. The German goalkeeper has kept two clean sheets in a row. Neuer will be looking to make it three in a row against Hoffenheim.

In central defense, Flick has been sticking with Jerome Boateng and David Alaba in the last two league games. He is likely to stick with the same combination to get some continuity in the performance. The defensive pair struggled against Hoffenheim in October, so it will be a big test for them on Saturday. Alphonso Davies and Benjamin Pavard will be full-back pairing for Bayern this weekend.

Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka is the go-to midfield pairing for Flick. However, Goretzka will miss the game due to coronavirus. This is an ideal opportunity for Marc Roca to stake his claim in the starting XI with good performances in the next few weeks.

Thomas Muller will slot in the number ten position for Die Roten on Saturday. Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnbry will occupy the flanks. The former has been in fine form during the last few months, while the latter is getting back to his best in the last two games. Robert Lewandowski will be looking to add more goals to his tally on Saturday.
