Predicted team for Bayern Munich in the home clash against Freiburg.
It has been a wretched week for Bayern Munich as they were dumped out of the DFB Pokal by Holstein Kiel. The German Champions also suffered in the last Bundesliga game against Borussia Monchengladbach, so the home game against Freiburg is crucial for them.
All is not doom and gloom for Bayern as they stay at the top of the league. However, performances need to improve sooner rather than later. The clash against Freiburg is pivotal as Flick would like three points and strong performance across all areas on the pitch. Let us look at the possible starting XI that could be selected by the German manager on Sunday.
Who is available for Bayern Munich?
Kingsley Coman and Leon Goretzka missed the midweek cup clash due to minor injuries. Both players have resumed training with the squad, so they are likely to be fit for the game against Freiburg. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting was also left out of the squad on Wednesday due to a knock, but he is fit for the weekend’s game.
Tanguy Kouassi has been doing light training on the pitch, but he is still far away from returning to the action. The French defender will need at least a couple more weeks before joining the squad for training.

Predicted Starting XI for Bayern Munich
Manuel Neuer will continue in the goal for Die Roten. His performances have been fine during the team’s poor run of form. However, he has not been rewarded for his efforts with clean sheets since the last international break in November. The German will be hoping to break this run on Sunday.
The defensive issues have been persistent for Bayern but attacking players have been bailing the team out by outscoring the opposition. At the moment, Benjamin Pavard is struggling, but he needs games to play himself into good form. The Frenchman will start on Sunday, while Jerome Boateng and David Alaba form the center-back partnership. Alphonso Davies will slot in the left-back position.
Joshua Kimmich is the main man for Die Roten in the center of the park. The German midfielder is nailed on to start against Freiburg. He will partner with Leon Goretzka in the midfield. Goretzka has been equally an important player for Flick due to his versatility.
Thomas Muller is also going through a lean spell, but he makes the attack tick even without directly contributing to goals. The German international will start behind Robert Lewandowski. On the flanks, Leroy Sane and Kingsley Coman are likely to get the nod on Sunday.
