Bayern Munich forward Zirkzee becomes a key transfer target for another Bundesliga club.
The winter transfer window will be open from Friday. Bayern Munich is not expected to do major business during this window as prime targets are unlikely to be available at this point in the season. However, there are likely to be loan departures during this window.
Joshua Zirkzee is going to be the most high-profile departure for Die Roten in January. The young Dutch forward has struggled for playing time this season. Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has been the backup striker for Robert Lewandowski, which has ultimately had a negative impact on the playing time of Zirkzee.
Feyenoord and FC Koln have been heavily linked with Zirkzee. According to Sky Sports, Eintracht Frankfurt is now in the driving seat to sign the Dutch forward. The Bundesliga club reportedly views Zirkzee as the ideal acquisition in the attack after the departure of Bas Dost.
This report insists that there have been negotiations between two clubs for Zirkzee. Frankfurt would want an option to buy in this deal, but it remains to be seen whether Bayern will agree to it. Sky Sports also insists that Club Brugge is also interested in Zirkzee and Premier League is another potential destination.

Die Roten needs to make sure that they get this loan move right. A starting role will be ideal since Zirkzee will improve if he gets a lot of playing time at the senior level. They have endured a difficult situation with Christian Fruchtl, so they need to negotiate a better deal for Zirkzee where the player is benefited.
Adding a penalty clause if a certain limit of game time is not achieved in the second half of the season will help Bayern’s cause of getting Zirkzee adequate minutes on the pitch. The Dutch forward has been training with the first team this season, but he got more match rhythm at reserves level.
Just a year ago, Zirkzee was delivering for Die Roten on the pitch by scoring big goals against Wolfsburg and Freiburg before the winter break. Sadly, his development has stalled this year, but this experience will help him to become an even better player.
Along with Zirkzee, Leon Dajaku could also leave on loan in January. The previous reports in Germany have suggested that Dajaku is determined to fulfill his potential in Bavaria, so he would prefer a loan move rather than a permanent departure.
