It was an incredible year for Robert Lewandowksi. The Bayern Munich striker won five trophies along with multiple individual awards, including the FIFA Men’s Best Player of the Year award. He concludes 2020 with 45 goals recorded in all competitions for Bayern.
After winning so many trophies and personal accolades for last season, Lewandowski has not took the foot off the gas this season. He has been scoring for fun this year across all competitions. Since the year is coming to an end, let’s look at Lewandowski’s best five performances for Bayern in 2020.
#5 vs. Bayer Leverkusen
On the final matchday before the winter break of the 2020/21 Bundesliga season, Lewandowski produced a two-goal performance that lifted Bayern to a key victory over Leverkusen. After going down a goal early in the match, Lewandowski helped lead the comeback as he scored a goal right before halftime.
Lewandowski followed up his first-half goal by scoring the match-winner in second-half stoppage time to send Bayern to the top of the table before the winter break. The Polish striker comes clutch in important games, showing remarkable consistency against the best teams.

#4 vs. Eintracht Frankfurt
A hat-trick performance against Frankfurt was one of the top moments so far from the 2020/21 season. Lewandowski recorded his three goals in 60 minutes and put his tremendous goal-scoring ability on full display. Bayern went on to win this match 5-0 as Lewandowski added to his goal total which stands at 17 goals scored so far in the Bundesliga this season.
#3 vs. Bayer Leverkusen
In the DFB-Pokal final, Lewandowski scored two goals to help lead Bayern to one of their five titles in 2020. The Polish striker scored both of his goals in the second half, which included a fantastic chip over the goalkeeper. He also drew the foul in the first half that led to David Alaba’s splendid free-kick goal that opened the scoring in the final.
#2 vs. Chelsea
Lewandowski had two great performances against Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League round of 16. He scored in both legs but his first leg performance set up Bayern for success against the Premier League club. Lewandowski was involved in all three goals Bayern scored against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the first leg.

#1 vs. Hertha Berlin
Not many players can score four goals in a single match but if there’s one player who can achieve this it’s Lewandowski. He helped lead Bayern past Hertha Berlin with his four-goal performance on matchday three of the current Bundesliga season. It was the perfect response to a 4-1 loss the week prior to Hoffenheim. Bayern needed a hero in this match as Hertha Berlin made it a close contest and Lewandowski’s goals proved to be the difference as it finished 4-3 in favor of Die Roten.
