Thomas Muller signing a new deal
A year ago, there was growing uncertainty surrounding the future of Thomas Muller at Bayern. The German forward was struggling to get playing time under Kovac. He was reportedly contemplating a move away from the club during the winter transfer market.
Things changed completely for Muller when Flick was appointed as the first team manager. The German coach brought Muller back into the first-team fold and started giving him an extended run in his favoured number ten role. Flick’s immense trust in Muller started paying off on the pitch.

Muller went on to enjoy a prolific campaign where he set a new Bundesliga record for most assists in a single campaign. The German forward ended the season with 21 assists in the league. His performances in Europe were also brilliant as Bayern dominated Barcelona, Chelsea, and Paris Saint-Germain.
In the space of six months, Muller went from thinking about leaving the club to signing a new deal. The German forward is the pride of Bavarians for coming through the academy and fulfilling his potential at the club. The Bavarian faithful will be thankful for seeing Muller for many more years in the Bayern shirt. He has started this season on fire as Die Roten looks to defend all their titles.
