What to watch for from Bayern Munich’s players during the November international break.

A total of 13 Bayern Munich players will be representing their respective countries during the November international break. A total of 10 players will be playing in the final matchdays of the UEFA Nations League group stage, while the others will be participating in international friendlies and the UEFA U-21 qualification stage. Here’s what to watch for from Bayern’s players.

Nations League comes to a close

The Nations League group stage is coming to a close for Germany, France, Poland, and Austria. All four countries have a chance at achieving success in the competition and Bayern’s players have the opportunity to make an impact.

For Germany, it will be Bayern players Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry, Manuel Neuer, and Leroy Sane who will represent the 2014 world champions. Only one point separates Germany and Spain at the top of the table in League A Group Four. It will be all to play for in the final two matchdays for Germany as they face Spain on the very last matchday, that fixture could very well determine who advances to the finals of the competition from the group.

Bayern’s French players are in a similar position as their German teammates. France is tied with Portugal at the top of the table in League A Group Three. For Kingsley Coman, Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard, and Corentin Tolisso it will be a crucial final two matchdays of the Nations League. France plays Portugal on Saturday in what is the marquee fixture of matchday five.

More from Bayern Strikes

Robert Lewandowski has the opportunity to help guide Poland to unexpected success in League A Group One. Poland sits atop the table entering the final two matchdays as they lead Italy by one point and the Netherlands by two points. Lewandowski scored two goals for Poland during the October international break and he will have to be at his best when his country faces Italy and the Netherlands.

While not in League A, David Alaba and Austria are closing in on moving up from League B to League A. The Austrians are level on points with Norway in League B Group One. If they can top the group then they will be playing League A in the next edition of the Nations League. Alaba should get plenty of minutes for his country in their fixtures against Northern Ireland and Norway.

Musiala, Richards, and Choupo-Moting in action

Jamal Musiala is set to make his debut for England’s U-21 team. The Bayern forward has done very well in the first months of the season and can certainly help England’s efforts in their matches against Andorra and Albania as they wrap up the qualifying campaign. England has already secured a place in next year’s finals of the UEFA U-21 championships.

Chris Richards can make his United States Men’s National Team debut over the November international break. The 20-year-old American should feature against either Wales or Panama. Richards is one of the top up and coming stars the USMNT have on their roster for the November fixtures.

Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting will be with Cameroon during the international break. Cameroon is currently involved in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying stage. They will face Mozambique twice as the two countries are currently level on points in their group.
