Bayern Munich striker Leon Dajaku subject to interest from British clubs.
There are going to be a lot of transfer activity at Bayern Munich in the coming weeks. In the youth teams, the club continues to add some of the best talents. Along with arrivals, there could be some departures too as young players look to take the next step in their development
Leon Dajaku could be one of those players that may go out on loan. According to The Guardian’s Ed Aarons, Dajaku is attracting interest from British clubs. He insists that Swansea City and Sheffield United are interested in the German striker. Goal also confirms interest from these two clubs and also adds that Sassuolo and Torino also have an interest in him.
Sheffield United is currently playing in the Premier League, while Swansea will be in the Championship after making the playoffs last season. Dajaku may get good exposure to the first-team action at both teams, but it remains to be seen whether Die Roten are ready to sanction a move for him.
Leon Dajaku joined Die Roten last summer from VfB Stuttgart. He signed a four-year deal and featured for the reserves team. The 19-year-old German striker also trained with the first team. Flick gave him first-team debut in December against Wolfsburg. He made another substitute appearance in January.

The German forward has not been a prolific goalscorer for the reserves team, scoring four goals this campaign. He is a raw talent that needs time to continue his development. Another season with the reserves would be beneficial for him before taking the leap into senior football. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
A move to Britain looks solid on paper, but things are not always smooth with loans in another country as we saw in the case of Renato Sanches. The Portuguese midfielder had a torrid time at Swansea during the 2017/18 campaign. Meanwhile, proper loan moves in Germany could be helpful like it did in the case of Adrian Fein.
Along with Dajaku, Die Roten currently have many exciting talents in their ranks, so they need to have a proper loan system to aid their development. All young players will not make it in Bavaria, but they should at least be in a good position to have a solid career in senior football when they are leaving Die Roten.
Ideally, Dajaku should continue at Bayern next season and then look for a loan move. The club rates him highly, that’s why they offered him such a long contract. Going to a Bundesliga club next season would be a much better option for his development rather than being a substitute at a British club next season.
