Bayern Munich is interested in young midfielder from Hertha Berlin.

The new campaign is just around the corner, so Bayern Munich is looking to strengthen teams at every level to achieve success next season. The German club has been aggressive with their recruitment in the past couple of seasons to add some of the best young talents in the world.

The European Champions targets the best young players that can play an important role in the first team in the future. Die Roten has turned attention to another talented German midfielder to bolster the reserves team for the next campaign.

According to Sky Italy’s Gianluca Dimarzio, Bayern is keeping a close eye on Hertha Berlin’s Lazar Samardzic. The report also insists that Samardzic has been subject to interest from RB Leipzig and Barcelona. The former has already made a concrete approach, while Die Roten is closely following the developments.

Samardzic has been a prolific goalscorer for youth teams at Hertha Berlin. The German primarily operates in the attacking midfield position. The transfer fee for the 18-year-old attacking midfielder has not been mentioned in the report. He currently has two years on his contract, so Berlin is in a strong position to demand a decent fee. More from Bayern Strikes

The last season’s treble had contributions from players that came through the club’s academy. Thomas Muller and David Alaba have been a mainstay in the senior team for more than a decade, highlighting the importance of recruiting well at the youth level.

Hansi Flick is not afraid of giving young players chances in crunch situations. Alphonso Davies improved significantly under his guidance last campaign. Joshua Zirkzee also enjoyed a good debut campaign with the senior team. The Dutch forward has established himself as the backup striker at the club since he came up with big goals last season.

Not every youth player is going to be successful at the club for various reasons. However, Die Roten should outline a perfect pathway for their overall development. After few years at the youth level, a good load system will help them to get the taste of senior football. Adrian Fein went through this pathway successfully, and he is now knocking on the door of the first team.

Samardzic looks like an exciting prospect, so beating Leipzig for his signature will be a massive coup for the club. The club currently looks to sign young players for the senior team. The aggressive recruitment at the youth level compliments the club’s policy with the first team. Every now and then, there will be some good young players becoming an integral part of the club’s success on the pitch.
