Bayern Munich is expecting offers for the Spanish duo in the next few days.
Ahead of the new campaign, Bayern Munich will be looking to improve the squad so that they are well equipped to defend their titles. The German champions have already concluded the signings of Leroy Sane and Tanguy Kouassi, while Alexander Nubel also completed the final details after agreeing to move to Bavaria in January.
In the next few weeks, the European champions will be looking to add a right-back to the squad. The reports in Germany have also suggested that Die Roten may look to bolster their options in the midfield department.
It is likely that Rekordmeister will go ahead with signing a midfielder when the departures of Thiago Alcantara and Javi Martinez are completed. Both Spanish midfielders would like to move away from the club in this transfer window.
Thiago has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool. However, there has been no offer for him despite reportedly agreeing to personal terms with the Premier League champions. Speaking to Welt am Sonntag (via SportBild) on Sunday, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted that the club is expecting a bid for Thiago in the coming days.
"“We are expecting an offer from another club in the next few days. He told us that at the end of his career, he would like to try something new.”“It looks like he wants to leave us. It was important that he showed he can play well in important games. It’s a departure that would hurt us a bit.”"

Rummenigge also confirmed that Javi Martinez also wants to leave the club. The Spanish midfielder is way behind in the pecking order in the midfield and defense at Bayern. Martinez is yet to get concrete proposals, but he has been linked with moves to Ligue 1, Serie A, and La Liga.
Meanwhile, Rekordmeister were eager to extend Thiago’s contract. However, the Spain international made a u-turn at the last moment, and he wants a new adventure in his career. Thiago has been a pivotal player for Hansi Flick during the second half of the season, so it is a big blow for his plans for the upcoming campaign.
The new midfield arrival is likely to be a replacement for Thiago rather than Martinez. The latter has been playing in central defense. Die Roten have multiple options in that position, so they can internally fill the void left by Martinez. For the replacement for Thiago, Die Roten are reportedly looking at Inter Milan midfielder- Marcelo Brozovic.
Both Spanish players have been wonderful players for Bayern. They have won all possible trophies with the club, so they are going to leave with the blessing of the German club. Die Roten will be looking to sort their futures quickly to bring some clarity regarding the incomings in the next few days.
