Serge Gnabry continues to get better for Bayern Munich

Ahead of the game against Lyon, Robin Van Persie had bright words to say about his former teammate-Serge Gnabry. The German forward delivered an outstanding performance against the French side to show that he is one of the best wide players in Europe.

After winning the player of the year award last season, Gnabry insisted that he wants to take his game to the next level. He has stuck to his words and improved his productivity in the final third. With two goals against Lyon, Gnabry took his tally for the season to 23 across all competitions.

More from Bayern Strikes

Along with scoring goals, Gnabry also has a tremendous work ethic. He presses aggressively and helps Die Roten to win duels higher up the pitch. His linkup play has also gone a level up, showing a stark improvement in all aspects of his game. With his best years ahead of him, Gnabry is going to get even better for Bayern.

Gnabry has also developed a knack of delivering top performances in big games. He has managed to score nine goals in the Champions League this season. Gnabry’s immense productivity in big games has also stopped Bayern from being a one-dimensional team, relying solely on Lewandowski for goals. Gnabry is cementing his place as a world-class forward, long may it continue.
