Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman excited about Champions League final.

The long wait of reaching the final of the Champions League ended for Bayern Munich on Wednesday. The German champions defeated Lyon to book a place in the final against Paris-Saint Germain, their first final in seven years.

Die Roten will complete a treble if they manage to win the European final on Sunday. At one point in Hinrunde, a treble looked a far-fetched idea due to inconsistent performances on the pitch. However, Hansi Flick has got the team playing good football, making them the best team in Europe in the calendar year.

Along with Flick’s astute management, Bayern players have also stepped up in big games, executing the tactics to perfection. Senior players such as Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller have delivered against the best teams in Europe.

Sunday’s final is also going to be special for young players in the squad since it will be the first European final for many of them. For Kingsley Coman, it is going to be even more special as he will be coming up against his former team. Speaking to RMC (via Goal) on Wednesday, Coman admitted that he is excited about the final against PSG.

"“It’s a nice poster. My heart is 100 percent Bayern.”“It’s a great moment, we really wanted to go to the final. Now you have to win it. The work is not finished, we have to win it otherwise we will have done all this for nothing.”"

More from Bayern Strikes

Coman is unlikely to start the game on Sunday since Flick has been deploying Ivan Perisic on the left flank in the last two games. However, he will get a considerable amount of time to play against his former side. In the last two knockout games, Coman has replaced the Croatian forward at the hour mark.

The French winger has endured a frustrating campaign with Die Roten. He had few injury issues throughout the season, but his inconsistent form has been a major worry. Coman still looks like a raw talent due to his decision making. His trickery and pace help Rekordmeister to stretch defenses, but his final ball lets him and the team down.

Coman will have more competition next season due to the arrival of Leroy Sane from Manchester City. The Frenchman had insisted that he is not worried about competition since it will help him in becoming a much better player.

Having said that, if Coman scores the winner, then it will be a terrific way to silence critics. Moreover, it would be even more sweet feeling since he will score against his former side. It is going to be an entertaining final due to the firepower of the attack on both sides. It is going to be a cracker, and just like Coman, all Bayern fans are excited about this game.
