Match Preview: Bayern Munich should be wary of Lyon
Predicted Starting XI for Bayern Munich
Having a clear idea about the strongest starting XI has massively helped Hansi Flick at Bayern Munich. The German manager has been sticking with the same group of players consistently, allowing them to form good chemistry on the pitch. He is unlikely to experiment on Wednesday and stick with his best team.
Manuel Neuer had very little to do against Barcelona, but his contribution to the build-up of some moves should not go unnoticed. The German international will be looking to keep a clean sheet on Wednesday. Jerome Boateng and David Alaba had some nervous moments against Barcelona, but they are likely to be trusted by Flick against Lyon. Despite Pavard being fit, Flick should stick with Joshua Kimmich and Alphonso Davies as his full-backs.

The midfield department was faultless against Barcelona. Thiago Alcantara and Leon Goretzka dominated the Spanish side in the center of the park. The Spaniard operated in a deeper role, while Goretzka was playing the number eight role. The duo will keep their place in the lineup as they come up against a young and dynamic midfield of Lyon.
The selection in the attack is also straightforward. Perisic did enough against Barcelona to guarantee a starting place against Lyon. The Croatian will start on the left flank while Serge Gnabry will operate on the right side of the attack. Thomas Muller will play in the number ten role while Robert Lewandowski will lead the line for the German Champions.
