Bayern Munich are expecting Thiago to move to England later this summer.
Thiago Alcantara is going to be one of the most high profile transfer this summer as there are no chances of him doing a U-turn to sign a new contract at Bayern Munich. The Spaniard will bring the curtain down on a successful seven-year stay at the club.
The likely destination seems to be the Premier League. Speaking to SportBild, Hansi Flick admitted that the Spanish midfielder wants a new adventure, and that could be in the Premier League. Thiago has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool, but Die Roten has insisted that there have been no offers for the former Barcelona midfielder.
In Germany, SportBild’s Christian Falk insists that German champions would be ready to sanction Thiago’s departure if a club offers €30 million for him. Meanwhile, The Athletic’s David Ornstein insists that Die Roten want €50 million for the Spanish midfielder.
Sky Sports in England suggest that Thiago wants Liverpool, and Jurgen Klopp admires the midfielder, but Liverpool are not actively looking to sign a midfielder. Along with Liverpool, Thiago has been linked with a move to Paris-Saint Germain.

Thiago is currently with the squad in Portugal as they gear up to face Barcelona in the quarter-finals of the Champions League on Friday. The Spaniard’s future is likely to be sorted once the competition concludes for the German champions.
The Spaniard will be a big miss for Die Roten next season since he has been an important player for Hansi Flick this season. The Spaniard showed his class against Chelsea last week, dictating the play from a deeper role using his expansive passing range. His dribbling and close control allow Die Roten to play out from a difficult position.
Despite the importance of Thiago to Die Roten, they have enough depth in the midfield to cope with his departure next season. Moreover, the German club can not afford to let him leave for nothing next summer due to negative impacts on finances this season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The Spaniard has been the heartbeat of Die Roten’s midfield over the years. Under various managers, he excelled and became one of the best midfielders in Europe. A new adventure could be on the horizon for him, but it would be a fitting end to his time in Bavaria if he contributes in bringing back the Champions League trophy to Allianz Arena.
