Bayern Munich is set to allow the young duo to join FC Nurnberg on loan next season.

The focus of the first team at Bayern Munich is set to be on the Champions League in the next couple of weeks. The German champions resume the European competition with the game against Chelsea at Allianz Arena on Saturday.

Along with the games in Europe, the club will also look to sort the futures of few young players in the first team. These young players are unlikely to feature under Hansi Flick next season, so loan moves are essential for their development. Lukas Mai has already joined Darmstadt 98 temporarily to get more first-team action. More youth players are set to follow the German defender with different loan moves.

According to Bild (via SportBild), Christian Fruchtl is set to join FC Nurnberg on a one-year loan deal. The German goalkeeper has been a third-choice goalkeeper in the first team during the last couple of seasons. After the arrival of Alexander Nubel from Schalke this summer, it was clear that Fruchtl needed a loan move to continue his development.

Torben Hoffmann, Sky Sports journalist, is reporting that the transfer is completed, and Fruchtl is set to train with his new teammates on Saturday. It remains to be seen whether Die Roten has extended his contract before sanctioning the loan move.

More from Bayern Strikes

Along with Fruchtl, another young player from Bavaria could be joining Nurnberg. As per Bild, Sarpreet Singh is on his way to join the second division side for next season. The young forward was not included in the Champions League squad, so a loan move away from the club could be close to completion.

Singh made his debut for the senior team at Bayern this season after joining the club last summer from Wellington Phoenix. Niko Kovac was impressed with Singh during the pre-season tour as he continued to train with the first team throughout the season. Flick handed Singh his first start in the Bundesliga against Freiburg in June.

Since the club has already bolstered their attack with the signing of Leroy Sane from Manchester City, Singh is unlikely to get consistent playing time in first-team next season. Playing at the senior level regularly will help Singh to improve his game after enjoying an impressive campaign with the reserves team in Bavaria.

Fruchtl and Singh are the future of Die Roten. They have shown their potential in the reserves team, outgrowing that level of football. A good loan move is the next step in their development. Playing regularly for Nurnberg should be their target next season to achieve the eventual dream of playing for Rekordmeister.
