Bayern Munich stars are attracting interest from Paris-Saint Germain.

The summer transfers are getting intense with every passing day. All top clubs are looking to strengthen their squads despite the negative impact on the market due to coronavirus pandemic. Bayern Munich is also looking to add more quality to the squad, but some of their players will also attract interest.

According to Le10Sport, Paris-Saint Germain is interested in signing Thiago Alcantara. The French outlet insists that two clubs are holding talks regarding the transfer fee. The Ligue 1 champions are ready to make an offer close to €30 million for the Spanish midfielder.

Thiago was offered a new deal by Die Roten in May. When everything was agreed between both parties, the former Barcelona midfielder did a u-turn. He told the club that he wants to experience a new adventure. Liverpool has been heavily linked with a move for the Spanish midfielder, but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge admitted that they are yet to receive an offer for him.

Rekordmeister has made it clear that they will not allow Thiago to run down his contract at the club. The Spaniard is going to feature for Rekordmeister in the upcoming Champions League games and then bid farewell to the club after a successful seven-year stay.

More from Bayern Strikes

Apart from Thiago, PSG is also showing interest in one of Bayern’s defenders. According to Fussballtransfers, the French club is interested in signing Benjamin Pavard after Thomas Meunier left the club this summer. Pavard is on the shortlist of right-backs that PSG are looking to sign this summer.

Pavard has been a mainstay in the starting lineup for Die Roten since joining the club from VfB Stuttgart last summer. He prefers playing in the center-back position, but Hansi Flick has used him in the right-back position after Joshua Kimmich was permanently moved in midfield. The French defender has impressed in this role, becoming one of the most consistent players for the German champions.

Die Roten will be open to parting ways with Thiago, but there is no chance that they will entertain offers for Pavard. Selling one of their most consistent players makes no sense. The French defender is likely to play in his favoured role next season since the club is looking to buy a young right-back.

The German champions will be hoping that more clubs will come in for Thiago if PSG makes a concrete offer. A bidding war will help Die Roten to get a higher fee for the Spaniard. At the moment, Thiago is firmly focussed on winning the Champions League trophy with the club. His future is likely to be sorted after the competition concludes later this month.
