Lewandowski’s form in front of the goal for Bayern Munich

On Monday, Bayern Munich expressed their frustration after France Football cancelled Ballon d’Or ceremony this season. Robert Lewandowski was leading the race to win this award after scoring a mammoth 51 goals for Die Roten across all competition.

The lack of individual award may frustrate Lewandowski, but he still has a chance to make history with the club by leading them to the CL title. The Pole has been previously criticized for not delivering strong performances against big clubs in Europe.

After sorting out his future with the club, Lewandowski has taken his game to the next level. He is working hard for the team, offensively and defensively. He is also creating chances for other forwards and comes up with goals in big competitions. His performances in London against Tottenham Hotspurs and Chelsea this season showed that he is ready to take responsibility in big games.

Lewandowski got a deserved break after DFB Pokal. He has been playing every game whenever he is fit, so a two-week break will help him to be completely fresh for European games. The Pole’s form will play a decisive role in Die Roten’s hopes of winning the CL for the first time in seven years.
