Bayern Munich may look at Inter Milan to bolster midfield
Bayern Munich could reportedly do a swap deal with Inter Milan.
The upcoming summer transfer window is going to be difficult for all clubs in Europe. Due to coronavirus pandemic, even the top clubs are set to be financially affected negatively. Bayern Munich has completed major chunk of transfer business already, but the club is not going to make any further big-money signings after completing the deal for Leroy Sane.
Amidst the financial crisis, many clubs may look to sign players that will be free agents or swap deals to improve their squads. Die Roten reportedly wants to bolster their midfield, so they may reportedly look to do a swap deal to achieve this target.
According to Tuttosport (via Calciomercato), the German champions could negotiate a swap deal with Inter Milan involving Corentin Tolisso and Marcelo Brozovic. The French midfielder has been previously linked with Inter Milan in a swap deal for Ivan Perisic, but Rekordmeiester is reportedly not keen on signing the Croatian forward permanently.
Tolisso has been linked with a move away from the club since he has struggled to get consistent playing time under Hansi Flick. After a successful debut season, the Frenchman was unfortunate with a serious knee injury, disrupting his form and development at the club.

Since Thiago Alcantara is also expected to leave the club this summer, a move for Brozovic will make sense. The Croatian midfielder can operate in multiple midfield positions like Thiago. He is also a press resistant midfielder, helping Die Roten to dictate the tempo of the play against top-class opposition.
Brozovic is currently in the prime of his career, so it is a suitable deal for all parties involved. Die Roten may try to squiz some cash along with Brozovic for Tolisso since the former is a younger midfielder. Considering Brozovic’s style of play, it is a no brainer for Rekordmeiester to explore this deal.
Along with Thiago and Tolisso, Javi Martinez is also likely to leave the club after enjoying success in Bavaria during the past eight seasons. Die Roten will have another midfield addition in the form of Adrian Fein as he started training with the first team after a fruitful loan spell at Hamburg. Mickael Cuisance is also determined to succeed at Bayern. With so many departures, he is also likely to get more playing time next season.
Going into next season, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka will be first choice midfield partnership. The German midfielders excelled in the last phase of the Bundesliga campaign when Thiago was on sidelines due to injury. Adding Brozovic to the group of midfielders present at the club, Die Roten will get quality and experience after the departures of Martinez and Thiago.
