Leroy Sane pleased with competition for places at Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich has finally addressed the attacking department of the squad. The club avoided another transfer saga by completing the signing of Leroy Sane from Manchester City at the start of July. The German winger is currently training at Sabner Strasse as he wants to be completely fit for the next season.

Die Roten wanted to bring Sane to Bundesliga last summer after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery left the club. The German club was negotiating an expensive transfer with City till the final month of the transfer window. However, a serious injury for Sane during Community Shield game against Liverpool scuppered the move.

The German champions remained determined to sign Sane in future, so they decided to improve the squad by signing Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic on one-year loan deals. Both players have done fairly well this campaign, but they are not going to stay at the club for next season.

With the acquisition of Sane, Die Roten will have quality and depth in wide areas. Speaking to SportBild this week, Sane insisted that he is not worried about competing for places in the squad. He also insisted that more options will allow the team to be fresh throughout the season.

"“Of course I want to play, but I don’t demand a regular place in every game. No player in the world can play every game and reach its highest level. I have my goals, but I’m zero point zero against rotation. This helps the team to get a good freshness, to set new impulses. Serge, King and I: That sounds very good to me.”"

In this interview, Sane also insisted that his relationship with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City was never a problem. The German winger insisted that the Spanish manager helped him to get better during his four-year spell at the club. Sane’s is much more efficient in the final third than he was during his time at Schalke.

The German international can play on both flanks, but he is at his best on the left flank. Flick is likely to deploy him in that position while one of Serge Gnabry or Kingsley Coman will operate on the right side. Die Roten will have more goals from wide positions after Sane’s arrival, which will help in reducing the overreliance of the team on Robert Lewandowski for goals.

Since Sane has previously played in the Bundesliga, Sane will have no problem in adapting to his new club. The German winger is likely to make his competitive debut against Borussia Dortmund in DFL Supercup at the start of next campaign.

Sane will be unveiled to the press this week as the team starts preparing for the Champions League games. The German winger will be a spectator during these games, but he could play a big role in helping the team in lifting the European trophy in future.
