Bayern Munich reportedly keeping tabs on two Premier League midfielders.
There could be an overhaul in midfielder for Bayern Munich this summer. Die Roten have a plethora of talent in this department, but some players could be on their way out this summer. Thiago Alcantara could be a big name departure this summer since he refused the contract offer from the club.
The German club acknowledges the decline of Javi Martinez, so they have not offered him a new deal. He has been heavily linked with a move back to Spain with Athletic Bilbao publicly confirming their interest to bring him back to the La Liga.
Corentin Tolisso has fallen out of favour under Hansi Flick. The Frenchman has struggled to get regular playing time under the German manager. The former Lyon midfielder is attracting interest from Italian clubs. A move away from Bavaria would be ideal for him ahead of next year’s Euros.
Ahead of these possible departures in midfield, Die Roten may have to look into the market to bolster their options. According to Le10Sports, Rekordmeister is looking at Tanguy Ndombele and Tiemou Bakayoko as possible options for midfield.

Ndombele has been struggling to get regular playing time under Jose Mourinho at Tottenham Hotspurs. He has been previously linked with Die Roten. Ndombele is a dynamic midfielder who has a great eye for a killer pass in the final third. The French report insists that Spurs want to recover the club record fee they paid for him last summer and Die Roten may look for an initial loan deal with an option to buy.
Meanwhile, Bakayoko has been on loan at Monaco this season after struggling to find his feet at Chelsea. The Frenchman is a box to box midfielder, but he is not exactly dynamic with his passing. He will provide steel in the midfield. Chelsea reportedly wants to offload Bakayoko this summer, so Die Roten will not be able to do a loan deal in this case.
Ndombele will be an attractive option for Die Roten if Thiago can seal a big move this summer. The Frenchman will provide the cutting edge in midfield after the departure of Thiago. Dealing with Daniel Levy is a big challenge, so Bayern will do well to get him on loan in summer.
On the other hand, Bakayoko may not be suited to Die Roten. Since the German club often dominates possession, so the Frenchman may struggle to flourish due to his passing style. Both French midfielders will surely be on the market in summer, allowing Rekordmeister to assess situation incase they witness numerous departures in the midfield department.
