Takeaways as Bayern Munich ease past Freiburg
Youth players get more playing time for Bayern Munich
Along with some backup players getting starting minutes in the match, Flick gave a start to regular second team starter Sarpreet Singh. Singh lined up on the left-wing. During the first thirty minutes looked lively and posed a threat to the goal. After the half-hour mark, his influence decreased and looked to be played out of the game. The New Zealander got substituted in the 64th minute, but that first half hour was very promising.
Singh looked like a hybrid of an attacking midfielder and a winger, blending a mix of pace, technical skill, and passing ability. His passing was solid, while crosses from the left flank were also potent. He was unlucky to not get on the scoresheet as he was relentless in the first 30 minutes.

The youngster’s energy was one of the best on the pitch, and he often tracked back to help in defense. This is required of Bayern attackers, but it is always nice to see the young players do this on the pitch. Based on this performance, Singh has a bright future in front of him, hopefully at Bayern Munich.
Chris Richards and Jamal Musial were also handed their first-team debuts against Freiburg. Both players are the best of the bunch in the junior teams. If they continue to improve at a rapid rate, they will have a future on the Bayern first team. Die Roten have many young players on their books that can play a vital role in the future.
