Kingsley Coman not worried about Leroy Sane’s arrival at Bayern Munich.
Hansi Flick was at his best on Tuesday at the pre-match press conference. The German manager once again stressed on the key positions Bayern Munich needs to address in summer. Flick wants to see more quality on the flanks, precisely a winger and a right-back. He currently has Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, and Ivan Perisic as the options on the flank.
Leroy Sane looks likely to be the addition that Flick was hinting on Tuesday. The German international has been heavily linked with a move to Bavaria in summer. Sane is reportedly doing everything possible to see this move happen as he looks to have agreed to a long term contract with the German club.
Sane’s arrival will add much more quality in the attack, more penetration, and direct play that Die Roten needs against teams that defend deep. The German winger has improved his efficiency in the final third under Pep Guardiola, so he will add more goals to the current squad.
Along with quality, Sane’s arrival brings quality competition for Coman and Gnabry. Coman has welcomed this competition as he is ready to fight for a place in the starting XI. Speaking to SportBild, Coman insisted that the club values him, so he is not worried about new arrivals.
"“You can see that that’s not a problem for me, it is better for the team if there are many players at this level.”“If Sane came, it would not be a problem! Except the club says to me that they no longer need me, but I think the club knows what it has in me.”"

Coman has endured another difficult season in Bavaria due to injuries. The Frenchman is eager to take more responsibility in the current squad after Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery left the club last summer. However, a serious injury in December kept him out of action for two months.
Apart from injury concerns, the French winger remains a frustrating player in the final third. He has the quality to terrorize full-backs, but his final ball lets him and the team down. The Frenchman needs to chip in with goals and assists, which is likely to happen when he improves decision making in the final third.
Die Roten has stuck with Coman during his injury problems, showing trust by handing out a contract extension. He needs to repay this trust by finding stability in his performances. The Frenchman has time on his side as he is yet to enter in the peak years of his career. However, Die Roten’s patience may wear thin if he doesn’t show improvement by the end of next season.
Sane’s arrival will push Gnabry and Coman to get even better. Healthy competition in the squad allows everyone to improve. These young wingers will get enough playing time next season. Moreover, the possible presence of Perisic will cover all the bases in the wide positions for Rekordmeister next year.
