Bayern Munich dig deep to beat Borussia Dortmund- Player Ratings
FWD, Kingsley Coman — 7/10
The same old story continued for Kingsley Coman. He was getting in dangerous positions, but the final pass lacked conviction. The Frenchman did create a dangerous chance for Serge Gnabry but struggled to maintain consistency in his performance. Coman did manage to retain the possession in the final third. The French winger is set to get more playing time in the coming weeks, so he needs to show more efficiency in the final third.

FWD, Thomas Muller — 6/10
One of the rare poor displays from Muller in this calendar year. The German forward ghosted in and out of the game as he struggled to break Dortmund’s solid defense. Muller’s passing was also a bit off today, but he still managed to press hard when the hosts were playing out from the back. He had a golden chance to double the lead in the dying minutes but couldn’t get his shot beyond Burki.
FWD, Serge Gnabry — 7/10
After sitting on the bench in the last game due to injury problems, Gnabry got the opportunity to influence the game from kickoff on Tuesday. The German winger was not at his best, but he still created so many problems for Dortmund’s right side of the defense. He often dropped centrally when Davies was hugging the touchline and vice-versa. His close control was also quality. Unlucky to not open the scoring in the 20th minute when his shot in the box was cleared off the line.
