Bayern Munich: Four things to look forward in matchday 26
Will Bayern hit the ground running?
Bayern was the most in-form team in Europe before football came to a standstill due to coronavirus pandemic. The defending champions were on course to retain the league title and showing good promise in the cup competitions. Flick’s men were yet to suffer a defeat in 2020.
Rekordmeister currently has a four-point lead at the top in the Bundesliga. Borussia Dortmund is set to face Schalke on Saturday. If Dortmund wins Revierderby, then Die Roten will be under pressure to set the ball rolling straight away.

Players are bound to be rusty after such a long break from competitive football. However, the margin for error is very less in the league, so they cannot afford setbacks. A win on Sunday will set the tone for the rest of the campaign and help Die Roten to clinch their eighth consecutive Bundesliga title.
The team chemistry will need some working since players have been training in small groups and then eventually moved to bigger groups during April. Die Roten have made an incredible comeback after a disappointing Hinrunde, but everything will go in pits if they don’t hit the ground running this weekend and suffer multiple setbacks in the final quarter of the season.
