Bayern Munich may have to brace for bids from Arsenal for one of their promising youth players.

The last 18 months have seen Bayern Munich signing some of the best young players from different parts of the globe. This aggressive approach in the transfer market is helping the club to improve their youth teams, but the primary focus remains firmly on building solid youth core that can complement the first team in the future.

Talented young players in Die Roten’s set up is also attracting interest from various top clubs. According to SportBild, Arsenal is closely following Angelo Stiller at Bayern. The young midfielder has been playing for youth teams this season in Bavaria, including the reserves team.

This report from SportBild also insists that many German clubs are showing interest in Stiller. The defensive midfielder currently has only one year left on the contract. Considering the giant leap he has taken this season, Die Roten will be hoping to extend his deal to fend off interest from Arsenal.

Stiller has represented various youth teams at Die Roten since joining the club in 2010. The teenager’s primary position is defensive midfield position, but he can also play in central midfield. Across all competitions, Stiller has made 24 appearances for Bayern’s youth teams. (Stats courtesy: Transfermarkt)

Rekordmeister will need to have a proper plan to integrate players such as Stiller in the first-team to convince them to stay in Bavaria. A lack of a concrete vision from the German club may force these players to look elsewhere to make it big in professional football.

Every youth player is not going to be an outright success in Bavaria. Some may have to leave the club to prolong their career. Die Roten must prepare these young players properly for professional football. Proper loan moves should be on the agenda to make sure that these players remain on track in their development.

Rekordmeister has been smart with securing the future of bright talents, so the club is likely to extend Stiller’s contract. In case they fail to agree, then they should try to include a buy-back clause if an interested club comes up with an offer in summer.

The transfer market is going to be severely affected due to coronavirus pandemic, so clubs will be looking to integrate top youth team players in the first team. Die Roten have struggled to integrate young players in the past few seasons, but Joshua Zirkzee’s success this term offers a glimmer of hope for young players in Bavaria.
