Diogo Dalot

Manchester United decided to improve the right-back position for the second consecutive summer by signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace last year. The English full-back has enjoyed a fruitful debut season as he continues to show steady improvement at both ends of the pitch.

Before Wan Bissaka, the Red Devils had also signed Diogo Dalot from Porto in 2018. The Portuguese full-back has struggled with injuries this season. He has found himself behind Wan Bissaka in the pecking order. In such a scenario, Die Roten may have a good chance of signing the 21-year-old full-back.

Dalot can operate anywhere on the right flank. He links up well the winger in front of him and also has a great cross in his locker. The former Porto defender tends to lose concentration while defending, but that weakness can be eradicated by coaching and consistent playing time.

Man United reportedly paid close to £20 million for Dalot. With three years left on his contract, the Red Devils may want to recoup the complete fee. Dalot can provide the attacking impetus on the right flank, so he will tick most of the boxes for Die Roten. The Portuguese can also play on the left side of the defense, so his addition will help in improving the overall quality of the defensive department.
