Ivan Perisic
After failing to sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City last summer, Die Roten had to make last-minute changes to their transfer plans. The club went ahead to sign their second-choice target to add more quality on wide positions in the squad.
Ivan Perisic arrived in Bavaria from Inter Milan on a one-year loan deal. The defending Bundesliga champions had the option to make this transfer permanent at the end of the 2019/20 campaign. Perisic took time to settle as Niko Kovac didn’t hand him a start straightaway as Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry were first-choice players for wide positions.

Perisic has shown immense work ethic whenever he had played for Die Roten. However, there has been an inconsistency in his overall performance. His trickery on the flank helps in stretching defenses, but his good work is undone by a poor final pass.
The former Borussia Dortmund winger has featured in 22 games across all competitions, contributing to 11 goals (five goals and six assists). He was finding a good rhythm in performances after winter break, but a training ground injury ruled him out for a month in February. Perisic’s output has been decent, but it could have been much better if he was efficient in the final third. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)
