Alex Sandro

Bayern can also go for a full-back that can provide experience in this position. Juventus’ Alex Sandro fits the bill for such type of left-back. The Brazilian left-back has been a consistent performer for Old Lady since moving to Turin from Porto in 2015.

Sandro is an astute defender that hardly puts a wrong foot while coming up against top-class wingers. The Brazilian defender is strong in one vs one duel and also dominates the opponent in aerial duels. His rapid pace allows him to make recovery tackles when his positioning is off the mark.

The former Porto defender does lack productivity in the final third. He links up well with the winger on the left flank, but he struggles to be efficient in the final third. In the ongoing Serie A campaign, Sandro has three assists to his name in 22 league games. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored)

Sandro currently has three years left on his contract with Juventus. However, the time is probably right for the Italian club to cash in for one of their consistent performers. If the price is reasonable enough for Die Roten, then Sandro will be a vital addition to the squad. He will help the club to manage the expectations of Davies and give him a decent amount of rest throughout a campaign.
