Kai Havertz

The chances of Bayern retaining Philippe Coutinho are bleak. Bayern would love to tie Thomas Muller to another contract. However, the Raumdeuter is likely to have a reduced role in the squad. Muller is likely to face competition from Kai Havertz, who may complete a switch to Bayern this summer.

Kai Havertz’s transfer saga gained a lot of traction in the previous transfer window. There are already several suitors dying to get his signature. Peter Bosz recently admitted that Havertz could depart for a fee above €100 million.

While this would be a hefty fee, Bayern can potentially generate funds from the sale of their aging squad. The good news for Bayern fans is that, allegedly, Havertz would prefer a move to Munich over other destinations. He fits the club’s policy of signing young German players that can be part of the squad for years.

Havertz would be a perfect fit in the number ten role. Young and fast, Havertz’s exquisite ball control would add flair to Bayern’s attack. Also, Havertz times his runs flawlessly to pierce through opponents and convert the ball into the net. He was among the top ten finishers last season, bagging 14 goals.
