Lewandowski activating the beast mode

After an uncertain summer in 2018, Robert Lewandowski worked hard during the 2018/19 season and ended up the campaign by scoring excess of 40 goals. The Pole insisted that he is settled in Bavaria and signalled towards signing a new contract with the club.

Bayern were more than happy to extend his deal and concluded all formalities by August. Things looked bright for Lewandowski off the pitch, but on it, he decided to take his game to the next level. The Polish striker started the campaign with a bang, scoring goals in every game.

By the end of Hinrunde, Lewandowski already had 30 goals to his name across all competitions. Moreover, the Polish striker was getting better with his hold up play. He was working tirelessly when the team was on the backfoot in a game. His creativity in the final third also got better, setting up goals for other forwards.

The Pole suffered an unfortunate injury against Chelsea. He had scored 40 goals across all competitions by that time. He is on track to hit 60 goals if the season resumes in the near future. Lewy’s stark improvement has been the biggest positive for Die Roten this campaign, and most importantly, he is eager to get even better.
