Federico Chiesa

There are many promising talents in Serie A, but none gets as much hype as Fiorentina’s Federico Chiesa gets. The Italian forward has been linked to various top clubs across Europe, and this summer looks likely to be his last with Viola.

Chiesa has been playing on the right side of the attack for Fiorentina in Serie A. The Italian winger has six goals and three assists to his name in 23 Serie A games. (Stats courtesy: Whoscored) Chiesa is a traditional winger that provides the width and gets past defenders with his trickery. He also makes darting runs in the channel between the center-back and right-back.

More from Bayern Strikes

There is a lot to like about Chiesa in the final third, but he still needs to work on bringing the right level of consistency in his performances. The Italian winger has time and ability on his side to become one of the best wide forwards in Europe.

Chiesa’s contract with Fiorentina is set to expire in 2022. (via Transfermarkt) This summer is the right time for the Italian club to get a good fee for him. He cannot be classified in the same bracket as Die Roten’s primary transfer targets, but with the right guidance, Chiesa can become a world-class winger.
