Four forwards Bayern Munich should monitor if they fail to land their first-choice targets.

Despite the suspension of football and uncertainty surrounding the completion of the current Bundesliga campaign, Bayern Munich will be expected to spend big in the summer to improve their squad. Die Roten are expected to make additions to their attacking department during this transfer window.

It is evident that Rekordmeister has not given up on their pursuit of Leroy Sane. The German club tried to sign Sane from Manchester City last summer, but a serious knee injury during the window stalled a possible transfer. He is reportedly still interested in moving back to Germany.

Apart from Sane, Kai Havertz is the other attacking player that has been heavily linked with a move to Munich. Bayer Leverkusen is already resigned to losing Havertz in summer as all top European clubs are monitoring his situation.

Bayern learned a brutal lesson last summer. They kept on chasing their first-choice target throughout the summer but couldn’t land them. The German club eventually settled for one-year loan deals for Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic. They should be better prepared this summer, so here are the five forwards Die Roten should keep an eye on during the summer transfer window.
