Bayern Munich are tactically efficient under Hansi Flick
Karl- Heinz Rummenigge is impressed with Hansi Flick’s tenure at Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich are slowly getting back to their best after a poor first half of the season. They are currently on a nine-game unbeaten run in the Bundesliga. Hansi Flick will be hoping that his team continues their winning run when they meet Chelsea in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Flick has done a solid job since taking over the reins from Niko Kovac in November. The German manager had to make some changes to his approach during the winter break. He has worked over the weaknesses of the squad and made them a much more solid team on the pitch.
The speculation surrounding Bayern’s next manager will continue till the end of the season as Thomas Tuchel was once again linked with a move to Bavaria during the weekend. Flick is making a solid case for getting the gig on a permanent basis, though.
Apart from getting desirable results on the pitch, Flick’s playing philosophy is also impressing the club hierarchy. Speaking to Kicker, Karl-Hein Rummenigge admitted that Flick had brought back the Bavarian philosophy in the squad. The club’s CEO also insisted that the team is much more solid tactically on the pitch under Flick.
"“An important step was that with the coach Hansi Flick the FC Bayern philosophy came back into the team.”“He has a clear match plan. The team is tactically aligned as with Louis van Gaal, Jupp Heynckes or Pep Guardiola. The coach Flick is an important factor, he has an empathetic one connection to the team and does it very well in public.”"

Flick joined Bayern as an assistant coach at the start of the season. After enjoying a good spell as manager, he is unlikely to take up a reduced role at the end of the campaign. It is still too early to make a final decision for Die Roten, but Flick is doing all the right things to become the permanent manager.
A deep run in the Champions League and domestic double will seal the deal for Flick. Rekordmeister are on track to win the Bundesliga, leading RB Leipzig in the table by a point. They also booked a place in the next round of the DFB Pokal by clinching a 4-3 win over Hoffenheim a few days ago.
Flick is yet to hit a rough patch during his three-month spell as Bayern manager. It is important to see how he will react to a tough spell when things are not going his way. A tight Bundesliga title race and big Champions League clash will also test the tactical aspect of his managerial style in the coming months.
Bayern should be patient with their process of appointing new manager as there will be strong candidates available in summer. Let Flick do his job at the moment and eventually take a call at the end of the season based on results and overall performances under him.
