Bayern Munich is amongst many top European clubs that are reportedly keeping a close eye on Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.

Bayern Munich has been linked with numerous young players in the last two years. The German club is looking to buy top young players to build a team that can help them to win trophies now and also have sustained success.

Rekordmeister has been reportedly keeping a close eye on English football as more top talents are emerging from British clubs. These young talents struggle to get playing time at top English clubs, so they look for a transfer away from the club and league.

The latest young British player to be linked with a move to Bavaria is Bukayo Saka. According to The Athletic (via Onefootball), Bayern is keeping a close watch on Saka’s contractual situation at Arsenal. Saka currently has 18 months left on his deal with the North London club.

This report also insists that Manchester United and Liverpool are also showing interest in Saka. At the end of last week, Daily Mail also confirmed Die Roten’s interest in 18-year-old forward. It remains to be seen whether the player is eager to move away from Arsenal.

More from Bayern Strikes

Saka made his first-team debut last season. He has established himself as an important player for Gooners this season. The 18-year-old forward has also played in the left-back and left-wingback role under Mikel Arteta. It is quite surprising to see that Saka has the most number of assists for Arsenal this season. A move to Bayern will not make sense for any party. Saka is currently enjoying a good amount of playing time at Arsenal, while Die Roten has this position covered. Alphonso Davies can play the left-wing and left-back role, so Saka will have much less playing time if he moves to Bavaria in summer.

Rekordmeister currently need a star wide player that can immediately take them to the next level. A player such as Saka has a lot of potential but then Die Roten will be better served by sticking with likes of Joshua Zirkzee and Davies rather than signing one more youth forward.

Die Roten currently rely on Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman in the wide positions. Gnabry has done well in the last 18 months while Coman is very talented but struggles with injuries. The Bavarians need to get a top-class winger in summer that will provide tough competition to these players and improve the team instantly.
