Team News

Bayern survived an injury scare this week as Manuel Neuer, Alphonso Davies, and Joshua Kimmich missed training sessions due to knocks. Flick confirmed that Neuer is fit and should be ready to play against Cologne on Sunday.

Kimmich and Davies were spotted training on Friday, so the duo is likely to feature tomorrow. It would have been a disaster for Die Roten if both players had severe injuries. David Alaba was also absent for one day this week due to a knock, but he is completely fit now.

Javi Martinez has started training on the pitch for the first time since suffering a hamstring injury against Wolfsburg in December. The Spaniard still needs a couple of weeks to completely recover and feature in the matchday squad.

Ivan Perisic remains on sidelines due to an ankle injury. Flick may have to mix it up tactically to compensate for the Croatian’s absence. Niklas Sule is the club’s only long term absentee as the German defender is set to start light training on Monday. Bayern expects him to be back in action at the start of next season.
