Christian Fruchtl will leave Bayern Munich on loan in summer
Christian Fruchtl is set to leave Bayern Munich on loan in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Bayern Munich had a clearout last summer. The German clubs allowed four senior players to leave the club and replaced them with young talent. They also added experience to the squad by signing Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic.
Die Roten is expected to say goodbye to a few more players this summer too. There are doubts over the future of senior players such as Manuel Neuer and Thomas Muller. Apart from a few senior players, some of the youngsters are also likely to leave on loan to get regular playing time.
Christian Fruchtl is one of those youngsters who need to play regularly to continue their development. The German goalkeeper is a third choice option in the squad, and his chances of playing will further diminish next season when Alexander Nubel arrives from Schalke.
Christian Robner, Fruchtl’s agent, has confirmed that the German is eager to go out on loan in summer. In an interview with Sport1, Robner insisted that Fruchtl still wants to fulfill his potential at Bayern Munich and confirms offers from various leagues.
"“Christian is still planning to borrow in the coming season. But it is also clear that he can only consider one club, where he will be number one.”“There are already concrete interests from two teams from the Premier League, as well as from the first and second Bundesliga. Christian wants to take the next step. The loan will be in close consultation with sports director Hasan Salihamidzic and goalkeeper coach Toni Tapalović.”"

Fruchtl has been training with the first team for the past couple of seasons. However, he is yet to make his senior debut, as Manuel Neuer and Sven Ulreich are ahead of him in the pecking order. His only source of playing time has been with the Bayern Munich II squad.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper has learned a lot by training with senior players, but he needs to play regularly to improve his game. His immediate future is away from Die Roten as Nubel and Neuer are much better than him at the moment. A move to fellow Bundesliga club will suit for all the parties.
Bayern should ideally try to hand him a long deal and then send him out on loan for two years. When Neuer leaves Bavaria in the future, Fruchtl can come back from a loan spell to compete for a place in the starting lineup with Nubel. Adrian Fein has benefitted from such type of loan move, so hopefully, Fruchtl also follows his footsteps.
The goalkeeping department is stacked with talent at Bayern. Die Roten needs to sort out Neuer’s deal, and then they will be sorted in this position for a long time. Fruchtl has gone strength to strength from his academy days at Bayern, so he is more likely to get better with a loan spell and further strengthen Die Roten’s depth and quality in the goalkeeping department.
