MID, Thiago Alcantara — 8.5/10

It has been a poor season for Thiago till now and he is surely on the list of Bayern players that need to improve in the second half of the season. However, he showed the glimpses of his brilliant midfield play against Hertha Berlin. The Spaniard dictated play from a deeper role. His passing was crisp as he kept on finding runs of forwards with ease. He capped off a brilliant midfield performance with a well-worked goal. Hopefully, this performance helps him to gain some sort of momentum as an in-form Thiago will help Bayern an edge while competing in all competitions.

MID, Leon Goretzka — 7/10

Thiago was the reason for better control in midfield, but Goretzka brought more dynamism in the center of the park. The German midfielder worked hard and covered every blade of the grass throughout the 90 minutes. Showed his great eye for passing by playing a brilliant ball to Thiago for the third goal. Nothing spectacular, but effective performance from the German international.
