Bayern Munich reject offers for Mickael Cuisance

Bayern Munich reportedly rejects loan offers for summer signing Mickael Cuisance.

The January transfer window is likely to see no changes in the Bayern Munich squad. The German Champions are open to improving their squad in January, but yet to find a breakthrough. They did conclude the signing of Alexander Nubel, but he will join the club in summer when his contract expires with Schalke.

Meanwhile, there are unlikely to any major departures from the squad. There are few players at Bayern Munich that could have left this summer. At the moment, Die Roten has a small squad, so they don’t want to sanction any departures. The stance maintained by the club regarding departures was further highlighted this week as there was an offer rejected for Mickael Cuisance.

According to Sky Sports, Bayern Munich have rejected a loan offer from FC Toulouse for Mickael Cuisance. This report insists that Die Roten are not interested in allowing Cuisance to go on loan despite getting very less playing time in Hinrunde.

Toulouse is not the only team showing interest in Cuisance. On Saturday, RMC in France reported that numerous French clubs and Spanish clubs are showing interest in the 20-year-old midfielder. This report also insisted that Feyenoord also want to sign Cuisance.

Cuisance joined Rekordmeister in summer from Borussia Monchengladbach. The German champions decided to sign him after Renato Sanches left the club to join Lille. It has been tough six months for Cuisance at Bayern as he is yet to start a competitive game for the club. He has been playing for the reserves team to get some minutes under his belt.

Hasan Salihamidzic had glowing words to say about Cuisance in November as he continues to impress in training. The club’s sporting director is confident that Cuisance is a player for the present and future of Bayern, backing him to make a breakthrough in the starting XI soon.

Bayern currently has a lot of depth in central midfield, so it is difficult for Cuisance to get playing time. Die Roten needs to wait till the end of this season and then decide on Cuisance’s immediate future. If he struggles to get a satisfactory amount of game time, then Bayern should consider sending him on loan in the Bundesliga.

Cuisance needs to keep working hard in training at the moment and grab the opportunities in the second half of the season. He will not get more competition in midfield next season as Die Roten are unlikely to add midfielders to the squad in summer. With Joshua Kimmich moving in midfield this season, a number six is not a pressing need for Bayern.
