Jann-Fiete Arp

It has been a poor debut campaign for Jann-Fiete Arp, ravaged with injuries and illness. The German forward had a promising pre-season tour. He looked set to get a decent amount of game time for the champions. However, frequent injuries have kept him out of action since September.

Arp insisted on numerous occasions during the pre-season games that he does not want to out on loan. He wants to learn from the best players by training with them in Munich. His injuries have not helped him to achieve his goal this season. Moreover, his final season at Hamburg was also poor.

At the moment, Arp needs regular playing time to get back to the level, which earned him a move to Bayern Munich. It will not be a huge surprise if he changes his tune and goes out on loan at the end of this month.

Regular playing time will help him to get back his fitness, and he is not going to get that at Bayern. Since there is a lot of competition for places in attack, he will play for the reserves and get some appearances here and there in the first team. After enduring torrid 18 months, a loan spell could be the best possible way for Arp to get back to his best.
