Bayern chiefs hire the right manager

Bayern has sacked two managers since Pep Guardiola’s departure in 2016. Carlo Ancelotti lasted for 16 months in Bavaria, while Niko Kovac departed after 17 months at the club. After Guardiola, Die Roten have struggled to find a manager with whom they could stick for a longer time.

The defending Bundesliga champions were inconsistent under Kovac this season, but there were promising signs in their performances. After the 7-2 win over Tottenham Hotspurs in October, fans thought that Kovac had turned a corner. However, Die Roten struggled in the league after the massive victory against Spurs, and the Croatian eventually left the club at the start of November.

Since Kovac’s departure, Bayern has seen an upturn in the form for a brief period under Hansi Flick. The German manager is set to manage the first team till the end of the season, allowing Bayern chiefs to mull over their next managerial appointment.

Bayern fans want to see success and good football accompanying together. They would like the club to do thorough research and appoint the manager that can satisfy these two conditions. There are many top candidates for this role, but the Bavarians will hope that this Christmas, Santa Claus finally grants their wish of getting the right manager.
