Five Christmas wishes for Bayern Munich
Success in the Champions League
This has been the wish of every Bayern fan for the past few seasons. Die Roten have been disappointing in Europe’s premier competition for some time now. Since lifting the trophy in 2013, they are yet to reach a single final of the competition.
Last season was an embarrassment for Bayern as they were knocked out by Liverpool, the eventual winners, in the round of 16. Defeats are acceptable, but Die Roten looked so clueless on the pitch against the Merseyside club at Allianz Arena. Losing after delivering strong performances is less painful as sometimes there is an element of luck in this competition.
More from Bayern Strikes

This year Bayern has got a decent draw in the round of 16. They are set to face Chelsea in this round. The English side is by no means pushovers, but it is a much better draw than last season. Die Roten fans would like to see their side go all the way in this competition.
After a flawless group stage campaign, the Bavarians will hope that Santa Claus brings them the necessary luck in the draws. Apart from favourable draws, Bayern players also need to step up as they have been underachieving in this competition for some time. Good draws will surely increase their chances of winning this cup competition.
