Karl Heinz-Rummenigge admits that Bayern Munich is open to signing Ivan Perisic permanently from Inter Milan next summer.
Bayern Munich will have decisions to make the future of numerous players next summer. The German club will be looking to further improve the average age of the squad by signing top young players and phasing out the old players.
Apart from signing new players, Bayern will also have to decide whether to take up the options of signing Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Perisic permanently. The two forwards joined Die Roten on one-year loan deals late in the summer transfer window.
Perisic emerged as the shock transfer target for the Bavarians when Manchester City winger Leroy Sane suffered a serious injury in the Community Shield game. The German winger was Bayern’s top transfer target to improve their attacking department.
The Croatian winger has settled at Bayern quickly as he has delivered some fine performances. While speaking to Tutto Mercato Web ( via sempreinter), Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said that Die Roten will be open to signing Perisic permanently next summer.
"“I will not rule out the possibility of Ivan Perisic being bought permanently by Bayern Munich.”“He has made a good start to the season and we have an agreement with Inter to talk about it at a later date, we will evaluate the situation alongside the player.”"

Bayern reportedly has the option to sign Perisic permanently from Inter for €25 million. The Croatian forward has made five appearances for Die Roten, managing to contribute in three goals during these appearances. Niko Kovac enjoys a good relationship with Perisic as the duo worked together for the Croatian National team.
Perisic’s versatility allows Kovac to be flexible with his systems. The former Borussia Dortmund winger can also play as a wing-back if Kovac decides to play three at the back. Along with quality, Perisic also brings much-needed experience in the attack as all the other wide players in the squad are young.
The Bavarians are still eager to sign Leroy Sane from Manchester City. The recent report from SportBild insists that Bayern have initiated contact with Sane’s agents through intermediaries. Sane still has two years left on his current deal at Man City, and the talks over a contract extension have hit an impasse.
Even if Bayern sign Sane next summer, then keeping Perisic will make sense. However, the Croatian winger will have to be a squad player. His transfer will also depend on the plans Die Roten have for Alphonso Davies and Jann-Fiete Arp. The two young forwards are currently in the first-team squad, but they may need loan spells next year to continue their further development. The sample size for Perisic’s performances is small, so Bayern have time to make a final decision.
