Cuisance who likes to play in the center of the park possesses great finesse in controlling the ball, moving in different areas of the pitch with elegant dribbling skills. The young midfielder has often shown his sly trickery with the ball during his time at Monchengladbach. A complete box-to-box player, the 20-year old managed two assists in 35 appearances for Die Fohlen last season.
He was impressive for his national side during the 2019 FIFA Under-20 World Cup tournament as well. Cuisance bagged two goals and an assist in just four appearances taking 11 shots in total. However, his side couldn’t manage to replicate the senior team’s heroics of 2018 as they lost three-two to United States U-20 in the round of 16. (Stats courtesy: ESPNFC)
Cuisance was voted as the club’s Player of the Season in his first season at Monchengladbach. According to Hasan Salihamidzic, the young lad has a lot of skills and potential with an opportunity to develop at Saebener Strasse.
"“In his first professional season at Gladbach, Michaël Cuisance was voted the club’s Player of the Season. He has a lot of skill and great potential. Michaël should have the opportunity to develop with us. We’re convinced we’ll be very happy with him.”"
Salihamidzic continued while stressing on Cuisance’s ability to keep possession of the ball with a great technique and mentality at such a tender age.
"“Michael’s strengths are in his possession of the ball. He has a great technique, a strong left foot and a great mentality.”"
With players like Corentin Tolisso, Leon Goretzka, Javi Martinez, Thiago Alcantara and now, even Joshua Kimmich fighting for a starting XI place in the middle of the park, Cuisance will find it hard to get a plethora of playing time.
Considering the current goals for the club and Cuisance being an investment for the future, this transfer scores 6/10 for Bayern.
