Renato Sanches had an outburst after the game against Hertha Berlin as he urges Bayern Munich to sanction his departure.

It was a frustrating start to the new Bundesliga campaign for Bayern Munich on Friday. The defending champions dropped points in the first game of the season after being held for a 2-2 draw by Hertha Berlin at Allianz Arena.

Apart from the disappointing result, Renato Sanches also voiced his concerns about limited gametime at Bayern Munich. The Portuguese midfielder came on in the 85th minute of the game as Die Roten were trying to find the winner.

Speaking to media (via Goal) in the mixed zone after the game, Sanches admitted that he would like to leave the club. The former Benfica midfielder insisted that cameos like this will not benefit him and the club should consider his departure before the end of the transfer window.

"“Five minutes is not enough for me.”“Of course I’m disappointed, it’s the second time the club has not let me go.”"

Karl-Heinz Rummenigge responded to Sanches’ comments while speaking to media after the game. The club’s CEO insisted that the Portuguese midfielder needs to calm down as he will get a lot of opportunities this season. Rummenigge also confirmed the club’s stance on this situation and ruled out Sanches’ departure in the next two weeks.

On numerous occasions this year, Sanches had publicly expressed his frustration about less playing time at the club. The Portuguese midfielder was determined to leave Die Roten permanently at the start of summer. He was linked with Paris Siant-Germain and Fenerbahce, but the German club had no plans to sell him.

Niko Kovac was desperate to keep Sanches at the club. The Croatian gave him assurances about playing-time in the upcoming season. Sanches didn’t start against Borussia Dortmund in DFL Supercup clash but played 63 minutes against Energie Cottbus on Monday. Bayern still believes that Sanches can fulfill his potential at the club, and they want to remain patient with his development.

Sanches will have more competition in the midfield department after Bayern announced the signings of Mickael Cuisance and Philippe Coutinho. The former is likely to play in the holding midfield role, while Coutinho can play in the attacking midfield role despite playing on the left flank for Barcelona. Moreover, Corentin Tolisso is completely fit now after missing the last season due to a severe injury. It will be interesting to see how Kovac manages to keep all the midfielders happy this season.
