Bayern Munich has reportedly approached Inter Milan to sign Ivan Perisic.

The transfer window in Premier League is closed, but European clubs still have three weeks to make necessary signings. Bayern Munich is likely to be busiest European club during these three weeks. The German club needs two-three players to increase the quality and depth of the squad.

Die Roten received a bad news today as Man City confirmed that Leroy Sane has ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament. The German winger was Die Roten’s top transfer target as they had reportedly started negotiations with Manchester City.

Bayern will have to look at other transfer targets as they desperately need to sign a winger. The Bundesliga club has been linked with numerous forwards throughout this summer. Ivan Perisic is the latest winger that is being linked with a move to Bavaria.

More from Bayern Strikes

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, Bayern has approached Inter Milan to sign Perisic. This report insists that the negotiations are at an advanced stage between two clubs for a loan deal. Bayern has decided to make move for the Croatian winger after learning about Sane’s serious injury.

Perisic is reportedly not in Antonio Conte’s plans at Inter, which will facilitate this deal if Bayern is genuinely interested. The Croatian winger has the experience of playing in the Bundesliga as he has previously played for Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg. However, his inconsistency in the final third is a cause for concern, but he can be very useful in stretching defense by isolating full-backs.

This transfer is opposite to Bayern’s policy this summer. The Bundesliga champions have been focusing on building a new spine of the squad by signing young players. Lucas Hernandez, Jann-Fiete Arp, and Benjamin Pavard satisfied these conditions. On the other hand, Perisic is set to turn 31 next year.

The only argument that can justify this transfer is that Bayern will try to sign Sane next summer. Perisic will be a stopgap addition for the attack as Die Roten is currently negotiating for a loan deal. However, the Bundesliga champions must try to sign a young winger along with Perisic.

Hakim Ziyech has been again linked with a move to Bavaria. The Moroccan forward will be the perfect complimentary signing along with Perisic. These two transfers are realistic and Die Roten will be able to improve their options in attack and then go all out for Sane next summer.
