Robert Lewandowski has urged Bayern Munich to make three more signings before the end of the summer transfer window.
Bayern Munich started their season on a disappointing note as they lost DFL Supercup tie against Borussia Dortmund last weekend. The weakness of Die Roten’s squad was visible in this game as the club continue to work on transfers.
Numerous players in Bayern’s squad has voiced concerns about the strength of the first-team squad. Joshua Kimmich has requested Bayern to sign more players to do well in Champions League. Manuel Neuer’s agent has also raised doubts about the club’s status in Europe.
Robert Lewandowski has previously admitted that Die Roten needs to sign top-level players that will make an instant impact. Speaking to SportBild this week, Lewandowski has urged Bayern to sign at least three players. The Pole striker believes that the German club should try to sign two wingers.
"“We need – even if Sané comes – another winger. We lost three players in the offensive with Franck Ribéry, Arjen Robben and James and so far we have not got a new signing there.”“I think we need three new players. Maybe a six or a striker.”"

Bayern Munich is reportedly negotiating with Manchester City for Leroy Sane. The German winger suffered an injury against Liverpool on Sunday. Man City is yet to give a complete assessment of his injury. If the injury is serious then Bayern might have to drop their interest as they currently need a winger that goes straightaway in the starting lineup.
As per the latest reports from Dutch media, Bayern is still interested in signing Hakim Ziyech from Ajax. The signing of Sane and Ziyech will significantly improve the depth and quality of the squad. The Bavarians also want to strengthen the midfield as they are reportedly interested in signing Marc Roca from Espanyol.
Lewandowski has always insisted that Bayern need a backup striker so that his workload is managed properly. The Polish striker is confident about playing at the top level for at least four more years. A back-up striker will allow him some breathing space during the season.
The Polish striker is settled at Bayern Munich and open to ending his career at the club. He is reportedly close to signing a contract extension. However, he is desperate to achieve the dream of winning the champions league. Die Roten will need reinforcements before the deadline day if they want to go deep in the European competitions. The pressure is on the board to complete the signings as senior players are worried about the current state of the squad.
