Bayern Munich’s Manuel Neuer confident he’ll be fit for Liverpool clash
Bayern Munich captain Manuel Neuer is confident that he will be fit for his side’s big Champions League game against Liverpool next week.
The next few weeks will be a critical period for Bayern Munich as far as it concerns their title hopes for the season. Neuer suffered an injury to his right hand before the game against Bayer Leverkusen a few weekend’s ago. He returned to first team training quickly but avoided doing goalkeeping drills, as his hand needed more time to recover. The German international has missed three games since suffering this injury, but he will be hoping to feature against Augsburg on Friday to get some match rhythm before the game against Liverpool.
Liverpool are one of the most in-form teams in Europe right now. They have been brilliant in the Premier League, where they are involved in an exciting title race with Manchester City. The English club did fantastically in the Champions League last season, eventually reaching the finals. Liverpool had to work hard to get out of their group this season, but they still remain one of the favorites in this competition.
