Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic recently confirmed his side’s interest in Callum Hudson-Odoi and hinted at a Fracnk Ribery exit.

Earlier today, Hasan Salihamidzic confirmed Bayern Munich have signed World Cup winner Benjamin Pavard from VfB Stuttgart. The Frenchman will join the club in the summer on a five-year contract.

That was not the only bit of news Brazzo spoke on, however. He also spoke on the rampant transfer rumors surrounding Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi and had a bit to say on the future of veteran Franck Ribery.

According to Sport Bild, Salihamidzic confirmed that Die Roten are very interested in Hudson-Odoi and hopeful of signing him soon. As for Ribery, the Bayern sporting director expects this is the Frenchman’s last season in Bavaria.

More from Bayern Strikes

"“[Hudson-Odoi] is a very interesting player that we really want to sign. He has qualities that fit our game perfectly. He is a good dribbler, fast and has an eye for goal.“This is probably Franck’s last year [at Bayern Munich]. Let’s just leave it there.”"

It’s no secret Bayern Munich are chasing after Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi. The Bavarians have reportedly made several bids for the 18-year-old, with the latest reaching the Blues’ asking price of around €35 million.

It is, however, surprising for a club official to express so blatantly his side’s interest in the player. Surely Brazzo is confident Chelsea will accept Bayern’s latest bid. Missing out on their man after speaking so plainly about their intention to sign him would be embarrassing for the club.

As for Ribery, nobody is surprised this is likely his last season in Munich. In fact, the Frenchman is probably the only person who really believes he has what it takes to add a positive contribution to the club if he signed on for next season.

His partner in crime, Arjen Robben, has already confirmed this will be his last season in Bavaria — as has fellow veteran Rafinha. Ribery should follow suit and make a decision on his future sooner rather than later. There’s no denying he is one of the all-time Bayern greats, but it is past time he parts ways with the club, at least as a player.

Salihamidzic also shared a bit about reported Bayern transfer target Lucas Hernandez. However, other than confirming that the Atletico Madrid player is talented. He had nothing concrete to add about a potential transfer for the France international.
